What is the difference between surefire x200 and x300

Its rugged, aerospace aluminum body is Mil-Spec hard anodized for scratch and corrosion resistance and sealed to make it weatherproof. The XU-A delivers a standard of excellence you can trust. Quoted: Aside from the lumens difference on the X and on the X ; is there any difference in terms of dimensions I ran the x on my Glock 21SF until I saw how bright the x was in comparison. I switched with zero other gear changes. I can't tell a difference in the housing between the two.

The beam difference is the only significant attribute. The x has a more narrow focused beam. The tint or color on them are a little different too but i cant remember which is a more neutral light. If you're only planning on using it for home defense or indoors in a confined space i would recommend the X For anything else you would be better off going with the X Honestly though, i still use a brighter handheld light for clearing backyards and fields and stuff on duty.

Both light fail in some aspect outdoors. The X will let you locate but not ID a target up to 30 yards but the beam is so tight that it takes too long to scan with it. The X has a wide enough beam to scan ok, but you cant see very far with it. Thats a really good price and well worth what you are getting.

I use a surefire z2 combat light with a malkhoff lumen wide flood bulb for clearing houses. Its on a lanyard that goes around my wrist before going in. If i ID a threat then I'll drop the light which just dangles and immediately bring the pistol on target. Outdoors i will use a searchlight and just drop the light on the ground if i ID something. Its rare to ever ID something while searching though. There really werent that many advertised on ebay today though and i swear that i paid for mine about 3 years ago.

They shouldnt have gone up in price since then either. I know this is the case with some custom molded kydex holsters. I am happy to report that it fit just fine in my Safariland which features both the rotating hood and ALS retention. As for power, it runs on 2 — A lithium batteries which is standard for most of the weaponlights out there.

The brightness of this light is impressive. As you can see in the picture the X Ultra is significantly brighter than the X The throw distant light is markedly longer but the biggest difference was how much spill diffuse up-close light there was. Maybe, but using it in my house I found that an activation from one side of a room lit up the hole room with no sweeping.

Now earlier I mentioned that the tactical runtime as being the measure until the light drops to 50 lumens. Doing a little research I found that my X was rated at 60 lumens, max output. Think about that — the runtime is measured to just below the point the prior generation was at PEAK. My loyalty to my issued light is rapidly fading in the blinding light of its brighter younger brother. Where to find it:.
