What makes inuyasha so good

In the present, Kagome's grandfather has his various charms, but they don't deliver the same level of effectiveness as someone like Miroku in Feudal Japan.

There isn't an explanation given as to why magic no longer exists in the modern world, but it could be that people like Kagome's grandfather simply lack the skill and ability to properly use it. Whatever the reason, it seems that there should be as much magic available in the present as there was in the past. This one may fall into the nitpicking category, but for anyone who struggled to learn to ride a bike, it was a bit odd to see someone like Miroku hop onto one and ride it about with little to no problems.

While most people learn to ride as children, even adults find it difficult to learn to ride a bike if they skipped their lessons in childhood. Knowing that, it doesn't make sense that a person who was born and raised in Feudal Japan could pick up a bicycle and ride it about as if it were second nature to him.

Granted, Miroku possessed many skills and abilities, but the fact that he could ride a bike without any trouble doesn't make much sense when you think about it for more than a few seconds.

Kagome was a year-old Junior High School student and we all knew this because she wore the uniform In some ways, this was a costume, which identified the character, but it really didn't make much sense. The uniform is hardly practical when it comes to traversing the dangers of Feudal Japan while hunting down shards and battling demons. Why didn't she simply change into something more practical? She had more than enough time and she had plenty of opportunities to throw on some pants and clothes that made sense, but she rarely changed out of her uniform.

Perhaps she liked wearing it, but whatever her reasoning, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to traipse around Feudal Japan in a short skirt. Demons weren't the only creatures present throughout Feudal Japan who seem to have vanished by the present era. The many monsters, or youkai, that roamed about the landscape throughout Feudal Japan are gone and mostly forgotten in the present.

There was never any sort of explanation given for the disappearance of youkai with only a couple of exceptions. The Noh Mask and the Soul Piper were still about, but they were lost or hidden for a long time so they were likely missed by whatever catastrophe befell the monsters of old Japan.

Like the demons, they may have been separated from modern times to differentiate between the two worlds, but they may have succumbed to modern weapons as time advanced. Unfortunately, no explanation was ever given so we just don't know. At one point in the series, we are introduced to the Fox Demon Exam, but the whole event seemed rather pointless and only served as a distraction or side-story that probably could have been left out of the series altogether.

The Exam is introduced when Inuyasha and his team hole up in an inn without knowing its the site of the Exam. Was the Fox Demon Exam necessary for getting promoted in order to grow more tails? Other than that, there didn't seem to be much of a point to it, rather than it being another side-story that the series could have done without. Inuyasha and Sesshomaru's claw weapons are some of their most devastating and useful, but they don't make a lot of sense. When you think about it, these guys are dog demons, which means their claws should be similar to those of a dog's.

Dogs don't use their claws as weapons; their claws are used to help in digging and to maintain traction when running on various surfaces. They are also not retractable like a cat's, which begs the question, why were they used as if they were a cat's claws? Granted, they are demons and have abilities a dog wouldn't normally possess, but it seemed strange that their natural claw weapons were much more cat-like than dog-like given they are dog demons. Early in the series, it is established that Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyo, which is why she has the ability to travel through the Bone Eater's Well and possess the Shikon Kewel within her own body.

This is one of those aspects of the series that is easily established, but it does beg the question, why did such a long period of time pass between reincarnations? Kikyo passed away back during the Feudal Japan period and likely would have been reincarnated soon after her passing, but hundreds of years passed before Kagome was born.

This was never really explained in the series and there was no indication that others were born in the meantime. Given the long period of time that passed between reincarnations, it does make it seem like there was something missing here. Although there are more characters, these main characters are the ones that I adore watching.

Out of all the animes that I have ever watched, this is the only anime that I can accept its filler episodes. This time, the filler episodes are so funny and they add so much liveliness to the characters.

The filler episodes flow nicely with the story. It is also a break from the dark elements of the story. Also, the filler episodes does not extend so long. As for the second part of the anime, "Inuyasha: The Final Act," it needs more filler episodes! This is the anime that actually really introduced me and my sisters Japanese songs.

The opening credits songs are wonderful and sync well with the animation. This goes the same with the ending credits songs as well as the insert songs. Not only the songs with lyrics, but also the original soundtrack or background music are smoothing to hear. These songs from "Inuyasha" demonstrate the beauty of the Japanese language to us. This is the anime to watch if one wants to hear and like Japanese songs.

For me, this is the anime to watch if one wants to become passionate of Japanese animation drawing. From watching this anime, one can see that the animation of "Inuyasha" is unique and very detailed.

In addition, one can see that the animators took the time and care into the characters. Unlike the new anime that we have today, their characters and their design all look the same. Therefore, "Inuyasha" still stands out as one of the most beautiful and unique animes of all time to me. This is the first anime that have given me and my sisters anime couples or OTPs to ship.

To be honest, all the couples that we have shipped all came true in this anime. Their couples also made sense. Throughout the episodes of "Inuyasha," there are many hints and development that show us that some of the characters should be a couple.

With the characters becoming official couples, they have contributed to a great, happy ending and to the big reason why "Inuyasha" is worth to watch from beginning to the end. The couples are fun to cheer for throughout the anime! Up to this day, "Inuyasha" still remains as a classic and nostalgic anime that have bought me and my sisters an adventure that we will never forget from our childhood. Nowadays, many working adults, high school graduates, and retired lifelong learners are choosing to advance their careers, lives, and personal knowledge by completing school at home.

The rising popularity of online college and graduate school degrees has completely changed the face of education and student life. It's no longer necessary to pack up all your belongings and head off to a distant locale in order to earn a diploma. If you feel the temptation to cut costs, save time, and take advantage of the incredible benefits of online learning and convenience of at-home study, it's essential to know the key facts about online degrees before signing up for a course of study.

Many people still worry about the legitimacy of tele-study, while others wonder how to finance the coursework. So, if you're ready to become a distance learner, review all the relevant issues related to financing, checking credentials of schools, work-life balance, expenses, and what it takes to earn good grades. Here are more details about each point. Non-traditional methods of earning degrees, primarily via computer-based courses, are fully legitimate.

In fact, many of the world's top universities and colleges offer both in-person and distance curricula. However, it is still imperative to check the credentials of any institution before making any payments. Check accreditation status, read reviews from former students, and call the admissions office to inquire about how to apply. If your educational goals include an advanced degree, it's worth looking into private graduate student loans.

Working through a private lender, most prospective pupils can obtain enough money to pay for all degree-related expenses, take advantage of competitive rates, and get access to suitable repayment terms. This is especially helpful for current college grads who want to get their MBA, JD, or other specialty degrees to qualify for high-paying jobs. If you struggle to define balance in your life , this will surely help you.

There's no question about one fact in that e-degrees offer the best work-life balance situation possible. That's primarily because class scheduling is highly flexible, most programs are self-paced, and you can do homework whenever it fits into your work week, assuming you hold a job while you're in school. Universities and colleges can earn high profit margins on e-courses because a vast majority of the classroom sessions are taped and can be viewed at any time.

In short, schools spend much less on e-students than on those who live and matriculate on campus. In general, expect to pay about half the cost of a traditional diploma when you are a remote learner.

One thing that's often overlooked when comparing all the differences between traditional and computer-based curricula is the discipline factor. If you intend to opt for an e-degree, make sure you have the self-control to watch every video lesson, take part in live discussions, study for exams, and write papers. I recall making contact with people who have trouble watching anime that is hundreds of episodes long.

Plus the reason you stated for Inuaysha being a good anime to start with is a plus. Plus the story is even shorter compared to the other battle anime out there with only episodes to devote to watching that is in comparison to Inuyahsha with adding the episodes from the original and Final Act it brings the episode count to a total of I can certainly see this as being another good anime to show to anyone who enjoys action.

When it comes to recommending anime to anyone who is curious enough to give this style of animation a try, or just to anyone who is already into anime and are looking for a new show to watch, I tend to ask people what their favorite genres are working from there.

That and from my observation when it comes to anyone thinking of an anime that can be consider a gateway when they are not choosing anime they personally like without the consideration of others preferences they tend to choose older shows, and while its understanding why those anime were picked, I think the newer anime that have came out in the past decade deserve to be considered gateways as well.

I thought up of criteria an anime must meet for me to consider the show a gateway. Those criteria being the following:. There are those who do not like the idea they have to read the source material to get the rest of the story because they anime adaptation stops at cliff hanger. Unless the anime either completely adapts the entire story from its source material while keeping to the first two requirements , wraps things up through a film, comes up with its own original ending, or the ending happens to be satisfying enough despite their being more in the source material, the anime would be added.

Choosing the ones that have less of the common tropes seen in anime. However in my approach I am going to bit lenient in comparison because I do not consider giant robots and cute characters designs to be such major turn offs especially giant robots. I can understand mecha anime not being for everyone, but not to a degree that it would be consider a major turn off from the style in general.

My primary concern would be shows that either feature fan service of the sexual kind or characters behaving in such a moe way basically the story trying too hard to tap into the moe feeling in order to appeal to a certain group. Both of those factors have to either be very minimal or non existent in order for the anime to be added.

Oh also the anime cannot rely on jokes commonly seen in harem anime in which a protagonist gets into these antics or situations because of a misunderstanding the characters cannot take time to talk through. I never find those jokes funny and I do not see it likely being funny to most who are just getting into anime either.

Hopefully down the road they will be willing to give an anime a try without relying on an English dub but in the meantime the important thing is to get comfortable watching anime.

I think that is all the requirements I have thought up. Once I have all the anime together that I consider as good gateway shows, I would write what certain group each anime would appeal to. Unlike with other recommendation list it would be handle in a way that one can choose which anime to watch that is align, or comes close to aligning, with their preferences instead of encouraging them to give every anime on the list a try whether they do will be up to them.

When I considered Inuyasha, I used much of the same criteria behind the scenes. The dub was especially important. I had considered The Last Airbender. The number of episodes worked against Inuyasha, but the episodic nature of it helps.

Your criteria are quite good too. Some of the genres may prove challenging, such as comedy anime. Although Kaguya-sama might be a good one for that category. FMA:Brotherhood, while solid, might have too many anime visual language moments for some beginners. Those aspects of anime need to be weaned toward with some people.

The difference is, aside from Kagome having the ability to flatten Inuyasha by activating a cursed necklace activated when Akane says "Sit, boy! Their personalities clash, but, as the two get to know one another, they develop an intense romantic attraction to one another.

It's this love story, despite all the love triangle shenanigans that occur, that centers Inuyasha. It contains all the great comedic elements of a Takahashi romance without the problematic elements.

It's Takahashi's formula distilled perfectly. But an important aspect of Inuyasha 's legacy is its exposure over the years. While many anime might be popular among anime fans, exposure remains one of the big reasons why a series becomes popular in the mainstream. Manga and anime were once a very niche market. Many people either couldn't purchase manga or didn't know where to watch anime. Streaming services like Crunchyroll or Funimation couldn't offer legal anime streaming like they do now.

Anime became popular thanks to it airing on television. Fortunately, Inuyasha had a prolonged life on Adult Swim. It aired on the programming block even when other anime were taken off the air. The series ran on reruns long after the show finished airing in Japan due to its episode count.

There remained a great deal of content to keep circulating on networks.
