Our mission is to celebrate and serve the presence of the mother which resides above us, within our hearts, within the earth, and in all those who nurture us. We serve cuisine inspired by the kitchens of Mexico sourced from locally grown organic ingredients. The idea of Gracias Madre was first conceived while visiting the families of our employees in Mexico. We wanted to do both; offer organic Mexican food to the communities we serve as well as honor the mothers who work tirelessly in the kitchens of Mexico and often live without their husbands and children while they work side by side with us in California.
Inspired by some of the recipes of these families and the love of their mothers, Gracias Madre serves organic, farm fresh, locally sourced food, full of flavor and love paired along side with our agave-based cocktail program spearheaded by Beverage Director Maxwell Reis. Gratitude Kitchen and Bar in Newport Beach recently reopened as Gracias Madre so get ready for a healthy-ish take on Mexican food with a bar that takes agave-based spirits way beyond margaritas. Background: Gratitude Kitchen and Bar had reached its fourth anniversary and its owners took a look at what was popular there and decided to give locals more of what they wanted. The look: The seat restaurant got an extensive remodel of its 4,square-foot space.
The main dining room is now reconfigured into separate areas.
