Vini darko said:. When I bought my Ms 2nd hand but mint and only a few months old at the time , they were missing the unusual triangular LF-HF tie bars for the bi-wiring terminals. I emailed Mission in the UK asking to buy a set and received a lovely reply from an employee and two complete sets of the terminals sent to me in Australia for free. I often wonder what happened to their wonderful support staff in the UK. That's decent of them to send to OZ I don't know what the state of customer service is currently like.
Wonder what happened. Did their electronics become Cyrus? The brothers that started Mission used consultant engineers for the designs and were pretty thorough iirc, one of my friends was one of the consultants.
They eventually split things up and sold bits of it - for a while their operation just licensed technology - it was their company that came up with NXT and BMR technology and patented it. This company was dissolved about 5 years ago - maybe they sold the patents?
I had a Mission arm on my Thorens TD TT my daughter still has it and imo it was one of the best thought through arms around at that time. I loved their pre and power with the heatsink as a cast mission sign. Cyrus was originally one of the model names but it transmogrified into a company name with one of the sell offs, I believe.
I do have some of the cardboard NXT speakers with chip amp which they used to sell to show off the technology - they are impressive, but perhaps because they work at all!

Mission maintain the ability to manufacture all their own components, which means they can keep on top of quality control and keep their exact manufacturing standards and continue to define speaker reproduction standards.
Mission produces a range of loudspeakers, subwoofers and AV speakers. Grid List. The Wharfedale DX-1 package: a 'mini' Diamond design — and 5. We watched this being manufactured as we toured the factory see pic, below.
Perhaps even more exciting is the confirmation that there will be a replacement for the power amp. All in all, the factory tour was fascinating: seeing products as diverse as Audiolab electronics and Wharfedale speakers being manufactured in the same location, and with the same meticulous levels of individually brand-centric attention to detail, was very impressive. A trip like this can never be complete without the joy of witnessing some really high-end kit.
